KERN COUNTY, Calif. — Census day is still six months away but a local organization is looking to ramp up their outreach efforts. The Kern Complete Count committee works to encourage residents in Kern's hard-to-count communities to self-respond to the census.
Wednesday, they will officially launch their campaign efforts for the 2020 census. After the launch, canvassers will go door to door to help educate residents about important upcoming census dates and information.
The event is happening at 10:30 a.m. in the Martin Luther King Community Center on 1000 South Owens Street.
