BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Animal Services held its first virtual adoption event Friday and before the event ended, some furry friends had already found their furr-ever homes.
The event was livestreamed over Facebook and Instagram Friday. Several dogs and few cats were showcased for adoption.
Organizers said livestream adoptions like this are helping are becoming the new normal during the pandemic, since the amount of people allowed to visit the shelter is limited.
