Kern County has a creepy crawly bug problem. Some experts are calling it the worst they’ve seen in years.
23ABC’s Adam Bowles went to investigate why there have been so many pests in your home and how you can get rid of them.
Dustin Brown, the owner of Safe Guard Pest Services, tells us why there are so many bugs.
"We're going to have a severe drought," Brown says. "The drought is going to end. We're going to have heavy rainfall and the bugs are coming out like crazy."
He also says pincher bugs are the worst and most abundant out of all of them. He gives us the remedy on how to get rid of the pests.
"Try not to over water," Brown says. "An excess pile of dead leaves or something like that, they will actually eat on them. Sanitation. Really take out your garbage everyday as much as you can. Exterior care is the most important."
