BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Museum is asking the community to help build a local record of recent events, including local protests following the death of George Floyd.
"We understand we’re living in monumental times, and we would like to take a moment to not only recognize that, but also to preserve the history of these events," museum officials said.
The museum is asking Kern County residents if they have recently participated in a protest, of any kind, to donate artifacts such as signs, pictures, posters, and answer with a brief questionnaire.
The museum is asking the questionnaire be completed and donations deliver by Aug. 1.
You can drop items off at the museum front desk or email mail to Bethany Rice at bethany@kerncountymuseum.org.
