Kern County Public Health confirms four additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19

BAKERSFIELD. CALIF. — Kern County Public Health Services Department has confirmed that four more Kern County residents have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Public Health has previously told 23ABC News that when they are notified about a positive patient they investigating these cases to determine potential exposure sources and any contacts the patients may have had.

There are 632 total people who have tested positive for coronavirus in Kern County

623 of those people are residents -- and nine of those are non-residents.

11 more people have recovered just since Saturday bringing the total number of recovered residents up to 234.

There have been three deaths reported so far.

4,479 people have tested negative for the virus so far.
