The Kern County Coroner's Office identified a body pulled from the Kern River as 49-year-old German Paez Ruiz of Los Angeles.

According to Kern County search and rescue, Ruiz was pulled from the river Sunday after growing Saturday night.

Several people have died on the Kern River this year. A 14-year-old girl also drowned Saturday after witnesses reported the girl going underwater near Hart Park. On Tuesday another man's body was recovered by search and rescue and has yet to be identified.
