BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office has released dramatic bodycam video of sheriff's deputies rescuing two people from a house fire in Bakersfield.

The deputies arrived on the scene on December 18th to find the house fully engulfed by flames. Deputies found an elderly woman in a wheelchair holding a dog just outside the residence next to the front door. She "did not appear able to move" the KCSO said in a statement. Deputies helped move her and her dog to safety.

The deputies then found an elderly man in the backyard who appeared to be disoriented and escorted him to safety.

The video shifts from the bodycam of each officer.
