LAMONT, Calif. — The Kern County Superior Courthouse in Lamont, located on 12022 Main Street, is closed according to court officials.

Officials said the closure is expected to last until May 22.

All Kern County Superior Courthouses have been under restriction following a March 23 order by Judge Judith K. Dulcich. The order restricted access to any and all courthouses to those required to appear in person for court hearings. This included defendants, their attorneys and witnesses subpoenaed to testify. No other persons will be permitted entry without good cause under the order.
