The Kern River Transitional Care Facility held a Mother's Day drive-by parade to celebrate its residents and employees.

Matthew Levesque, Director Of Rehab at the facility, said they had families and residents from throughout the community take part in the parade.

Kern River Transitional Care Facility, located at 5151 Knudsen Drive in Bakersfield, has been on lockdown since the middle of March, Levesque said.

"We used Mothers Day as our excuse to have our residents safely outside in order to view the parade. There was not a dry eye today between the resident, the families, and the KRTC employees," Levesque said,
