BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern River Transitional Care is holding a holiday toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots until 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The event will feature local artist Fuzzy Joseph, who will be doing sketches and drawings. There will also be a free barbecue from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

The idea for the toy drive came from 6-year-old Noah Levesque, who says he wants to make sure kids have a good Christmas.
