House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy issued the following statement after the death of former Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall on Saturday:

“Mayor Hall was a man who dedicated his life to our community. His contribution to our public safety and health was unmatched, as was his relentless work to make Bakersfield better. His legacy has left our community in a better place. Judy and I pray for Harvey’s family during this time of grief but join together with a grateful Bakersfield to remember and honor his time with us.”

Hall passed away at the age of 77 on Saturday.
