BUENA VISTA LAKE — Do LaB, the group that put on the Lighting In The Bottle Festival has responded to the trash that was left behind at Buena Vista Lake.

The festival wrapped up on Monday but there were piles of papers, cups, wrappers and other garbage. The County initially said that Do Lab, the group that put on the event is in the process of cleaning up the area.
In a statement sent to 23ABC Thursday, co-founder of Do LaB Dede Flemming said:

“As with any festival we have a process to consolidate and clean everything up. This is apart of our process and approved cleanup plan and normal course of action.”

County officials also said that the park is expected to fully reopen by May 21.
