BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bill Wright Toyota at 5100 Gasoline Drive announced it has sold its dealership, located at 5100 Gasoline Alley Drive, to the Shelly Automotive Group. Toyota said all employees staffed at its dealership will remain employed by the new owner.
The company says that the business will be transferred on Oct. 6.
The dealership said this transfer will in no way interrupt service.
As in accordance with legal requirements, Bill Wright issued a WARN Act Notice to employees, local authorities and county officials in which it states that the dealership will close and employees will be laid off. However, the dealership explained that this is just a part of the sales process and all employees will be immediately rehired.
