BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A local church is no longer holding their annual Easter egg drop.

The Bakersfield First Assembly of God Church in Southwest Bakersfield was known for using a helicopter to drop 20,000 Easter sweets during their Easter weekend event.

The church would hold the drop at an off-campus location the day before Easter. This year, the church is opting out of the drop in order to keep the festivities on-campus and on Easter Sunday.

Bakersfield First Assembly of God will hold an Easter fun day at their campus on Sunday. The church is located at 4901 California Avenue in Southwest Bakersfield.
