Kern County Firefighters were out in northwest Bakersfield on Thursday collecting donations for a good cause.

KCFD teamed up with the Kern County Cancer Fund to help raise money for local cancer patients.

Drive-through donations were accepted at the corner of Olive and Knudsen drives between 7 a.m. and noon.
