Local pastor's golf cart stolen while he was in church

Pastor Al Rountre is a pastor at a local church within Kern City. Ever since his stroke in January he's only been able to drive his golf kart.

This past Sunday when he was leaving church, he couldn't see his golf cart and thought it must be a joke.

After hearing others say they saw his cart leaving the senior community they live in, he realized it must have been stolen.

"They think because we're a senior community we're an easy prey. So people are coming in here all the time. Nobody in Kern City took the golf cart, it had to be an outsider."

Pastor Al says all of his 13 grandchildren love riding the golf cart. Now, only one of them know it's gone.

"And he said papa, papa, golf cart. He went out in the garage and just stood there with almost tears because the golf kart was gone."

For now Pastor Al says his friends are helping him out with getting to and from church events and he hopes whoever stole it returns it to him.
