The Wounded Heroes Fund of Kern County wants to clear things up after the recent firing of two top executives from the Wounded Warrior Project.
The Wounded Heroes Fund says they are not in any way affiliated with the national organization.
"At the Wounded Heroes Fund, 71 cents out of every dollar raised goes to helping our local veterans and their families", said Wendy Porter, Executive Director of the Wounded Heroes Fund.
The Wounded Heroes Fund provides a number of resources and programs for veterans like monthly hikes, date nights and meet and greets.
