DELANO, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the man killed in a deadly crash near Kern Valley State Prison this morning.

41-year-old Ezequiel Lara Flores of Delano was killed after his 1996 Nissan pickup truck collided with a 2008 Chevy pickup truck at the intersection of Wasco-Pond Road and Garces Highway in Delano.

Flores died at the scene. The other person involved, a 50-year-old man from Bakersfield, was taken to Kern Medical for moderate to major injuries.
