Man sentenced in shooting death of Rosamond 14-year-old

A man accused of manslaughter in the death of a 14-year-old Rosamond boy was sentenced today in Mojave.

Deon Davison was sentenced to one year in jail and five years probation.

Davison pleaded no contest in April to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Al McCraig. McCraig died of a gunshot wound in 2016.

Kern County Sheriff Deputies originally thought McCraig shot himself but later discovered Davison fired the gun.
