BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man was shot and killed in South Bakersfield Friday night.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, around 8:02 p.m. on May 31, officers were called out to the 1900 block of Raymond A. Spruance Court for a victim of an assault.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. BPD says Hall Ambulance personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Kern County Coroner's Office.
