A man who was shot and killed in east Bakersfield near Heritage Park on Saturday has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office. 

Christopher Manuel Cruz Guadron of Bakersfield was shot on Dec. 9 around 9:30 a.m. on the 2700 block of Camino Real. Guadron, 27, was taken to Kern Medical where he died from his injuries.

Police said Guillermo Soto opened fire, killing Guadron and wounding a woman. Soto, 19, appeared in court on Dec. 12 and pleaded not guilty. He is facing six felony charges, including cruelty to a child and first-degree murder.

A postmortem examination will be scheduled at a later time for Guadron, the Coroner's Office said.
