BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Mayor Karen Goh released a message honoring fallen heroes on Memorial Day Monday.
She said her message is about remembering the service and sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our freedom.
"In loving our country more then themselves, they paid the ultimate price," Mayor Goh said.
Goh said that although Memorial Day celebrations this year is different from previous years, that should not stop us from recognizing those fallen heroes.
