Layoffs announced in Kern County amid coronavirus pandemic

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — More layoffs and furloughs are being announced in Kern County amid the coronavirus pandemic.

KVS Transportation, Inc. in Bakersfield announced layoffs for 42 employees. These layoffs are considered permanent for the time-being.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co. of Sacramento, LLC said it is laying off 11 employees at the Bakersfield locations.

Westem Dental Services, Inc. said it is temporarily furloughing 17 employees at the Delano location. Western Dental said this action will continue through June 30, unless we are able to recall employees to work prior to that time.

C&J Well Services, Inc. announced 17 more layoffs. These layoffs are considered permanent for the time-being and in addition to 52 previously announced layoffs.
