Most of the equipment stolen from the Kern County Sheriff's Office during a KCSO vehicle break-in has been recovered, according to the department.
The equipment was originally stolen on May 25 from an undercover KCSO SUV. A tactical vest, KCSO patches, ammo magazines and ammunition were all recovered. A helmet, sunglasses and a pair of gloves are still unaccounted for.
The equipment was recovered on Tuesday and 22-year-old Angel Twiss Gomez was arrested. The man suspected of originally stealing the equipment is Travis Stevens, who was arrested on June 12th for second-degree burglary, grand theft and possession of ammunition by a felon.
