BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Murray Family Farms reopened Tuesday after being temporarily shut down by the health department due to a rodent infestation.

According to Kern County Public Health, Murray Family Farms was shut down Thursday due to a rising level of mice. The farm's restaurant and market were closed over the weekend as the company worked to correct the problem.

After a re-inspection Tuesday the health department allowed the company to reopen.

Murray Family Farms is located off General Beale Road just off Highway 58.
