(UPDATE) The liquidation sale has been canceled after the Noriega Hotel announced the sale of the restaurant and hotel.

You have the chance to own a piece of an iconic restaurant and hotel in Old Town Kern. The Noriega Hotel shared on Facebook that they will be liquidating their business.

The post revealed that they had been in talks with potential buyers in hopes to continue its tradition of family-style Basque dining. But owners Linda and Rochelle said with increasing rent costs and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and operating a family-style restaurant that is not the case and none of the deals worked out.

The family has decided to hold an estate sale on Friday and Saturday at Noriega's from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be selling a number of items including tables, stoves, refrigerators, and plenty more.
