A downtown Mexican restaurant is mixing it up by serving Bakersfield something new.
Nuestro Mexico Restaurant has officially opened a second location: a lounge!
Nuestro Mexico Lounge is not specializing in Mexican dishes like its sister location, but will serve up creative cocktails instead.
Francisco Martin, owner of both Nuestros, tells 23ABC that this new lounge has a "upscale, Vegas bar feeling."
There is an extensive menu featuring mixology drinks like Cafe Patron Martinis, Patron and Mezcal cocktails, and even Dom Perignon champagne.
Martin tells 23ABC that they are working on a food menu that could possibly be unveiled in 6 to 8 months.
This new lounge comes at the same time Nuestro Mexico was named "Best Tacos in California" according to website Thrillist. You can read more about that here.
