MADERA, Calif. — A child’s body, believed to be of missing 2-year-old Thaddeus Sran, has been found in rural Madera County, officials confirmed Thursday.
Chief Dino Lawson of the Madera Police Department said that the body had been found around 9:15 a.m. in a rural area just west of Madera. The age of the body was approximately 2-3 years old.
Lawson said investigators “strongly believe” it is Thaddeus, but the exact identity will need to be confirmed y the coroner.

Thaddeus Sran was reported missing by his parents on July 15.
Police said Tuesday that Thaddeus’ parents had stopped cooperating with them in the investigation.
