BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Although rumors are circulating of a curfew for the Bakersfield area, 23ABC has reached out to City, county, and law enforcement officials and has been unable to confirm a curfew.

One viewer sent 23ABC a photo of an alert on their phone announcing a curfew from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m.

However we reached out officials with the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, and with the Bakersfield Police Department, all of whom said they did not issue any curfew.

23ABC is continuing to monitor whether a curfew will be put in place for the Bakersfield area.
