Immigration advocacy organizations along with local DREAMers will participate in a pop-up press conference today, Thursday November 9, 2017 at Frameworks located at 1020 18th St. at 10:30 a.m.

The press conference was organized by the Emerson Collective in order to try and urge Congressman Valadao to pass the Dream Act before the end of this year.

As a part of the press conference the Inside Out/Dreamers will be coming to Bakersfield. The art initiative's goal is to create a portrait of America that includes immigrants and the descendants of immigrants. The group will bring a photo booth along with them in order to allow members of the community to get their picture taken and show an expression of standing in solidarity with DREAMers.

The participants will then move over to Congressman Valadao's office to create a human billboard with the pictures people have taken.
