BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — UPDATE: Power has been restored to thousands of PG&E customers in East Bakersfield Tuesday morning. PG&E reported 570 customers were still being affected as of 3:30 a.m.

Over 2,200 Pacific Gas and Electric company were without power early Tuesday morning, according to the PG&E outages website.
PG&E reported the outage was affecting 2,246 customers in the area ranging from Oswell Street to Kern Canyon Road, and from Niles Street to Edison Highway. The outage began around 1:36 a.m. PG&E reported an estimated restoration time of 4:45 a.m.
No word yet on the cause of the outage.
