BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Public Works Department is reporting flooding near Fairview Elementary in Southeast Bakersfield due to a broken water main.

The department is reporting flooding on Malibar Avenue, from Sparks Street to Garber Way, due to a broken water main.

They do not have an estimate of how long flooding will last and are recommending drivers in the area find an alternative route.
