Regional Stay at Home Order for Kern County takes effect Sunday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The San Joaquin Valley's ICU capacity has officially fallen below 15%. That means Kern County will be placed into the regional stay at home order. According to the California Department of Public Health the San Joaquin Valley is at 14.1% ICU capacity which qualifies Kern County for the regional stay at home order.

The Regional Stay at Home Order takes effect Sunday December 6 at 11:59pm.

Residents can expect outdoor dining to come to a halt, retail stores will be reduced from 25% to 20% capacity and the closure of all barber shops, bars, breweries, casinos and indoor and outdoor playgrounds will also take place.
