BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Local Congressman and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is offering a message of hope to college seniors of the class of 2020.

In a video message on Facebook, the local leader said, "We all know that this as an academic year has turned out to be a little different than previous years."

"I know that many of you were looking forward to these new few exciting months filled with end of the school year celebrations," he said. "Let me make it clear, whether or not you experience the traditional end of the senior year, your accomplishment stands unequivocally tall."
