On Tuesday morning, McDonald's will be offering free breakfasts for students throughout Kern County.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, eating breakfast in the morning can help children with their memory at school, improve their mood and keep them at a healthier weight.
Children in grades kindergarten through eighth will be able to get a meal that includes a breakfast sandwich, apple slices and one-percent low-fat milk.
The meals will be provided until 9:30 a.m. at all Kern County McDonald's locations.
