Several local restaurants were shut down this week by the health department after failing to pass inspections, but one of the eateries has been hit with a cease and desist order.

Super Taco on Chester Avenue, which was closed on Aug.30,  has been advised by the owners of the Super Taco on Truxtun to cease using the name since they allege the Chester location was not legally allowed to use the name.

The management of two Truxtun Super Taco locations also claim that the Chester restaurant is not affiliated in any way with their company.

The Chester Super Taco location was shut down for improperly storing food at incorrect temperatures and live cockroaches. They scored 69 percent on their health inspection.
