UPDATE (June 5 9:51a): Kern County Sheriff's Office said on Saturday Ridgecrest Police Department detained a suspect wanted for spousal abuse.
KCSO responded to take over. Officials said the suspect was under the influence of meth.
After KCSO took the man into custody, they were headed to the hospital to have the man cleared before taking him to jail and the man had a seizure.
The man was taken to the hospital and doctors reportedly expect him to survive.

On Saturday, California Highway Patrol requested help from the Kern County Sheriff's Office for an injured victim of domestic violence trapped inside of her residence with the suspect still on-scene.
There were no local KCSO unit available so officers from the Ridgecrest Police Department responded to assist.
Officers arrived and could hear the victim inside calling for help,but she could not get to the door. Officers forced entry into the residence to rescue the victim and get her to awaiting medical attention.
After rescuing the victim, officers waited for KCSO to arrive and assume the investigation.
