Most Reverend Joseph V. Brennan will be installed as the sixth bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno during mass today.

Reverend Brennan was appointed in March 2018 to succeed Bishop Armando X. Ochoa.

Bishop Ochoa released a statement on the Diocese's website, saying in part:

"Over the years, I have come to know Bishop Brennan as a man of great faith, extraordinary talent, and love of his call to serve God’s people with the heart of Christ. After seven wonderful years as Bishop of the Diocese of Fresno, I know that the clergy, religious men and women, and all God’s people will welcome Bishop Brennan with open arms and open hearts."

Reverend Brennan previously served in Los Angeles as Episcopal Vicar of the San Fernando Pastoral Region.

Reverend Brennan's Mass of Installation will be held today at 2 p.m.
