WATCH LIVE: The Sabrina Limon trial continues for its 10th day.

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 3:50 p.m.)

3:15 p.m.. Court resumes after 15 minute recess.

Questioning of Sgt. Rutledge resumes. He’s accused of using Limon’s children as “leverage” to get Limon to tell the truth about what happened. Rutledge denies it was leverage, just a means to get the truth out. Rutledge says he had lots of information and could identify several lies that Limon was telling in the interview.

3:27 p.m. Rutledge is dismissed, and Det. Meyer is called to the stand and is questioned about the same interview with Limon.

The interview between Det. Meyer and Limon is played.

3:45 p.m.: Both attorneys and the judge went to speak in the chambers and after a few minutes, announced court was dismissed for the day.

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 3:00 p.m.)

Limon’s expression changes as she reads a transcript that plays between her and a detective. He asks her, “The guy you say I love you everyday didn’t kill your husband in cold blood?” Detectives tell Limon that she has a chance to fess up. “We don’t believe you. We know everything. It’s your turn to tell the truth.”

Detectives tell Limon they know Hearn committed the murder.

Court takes 15 minute recess and will resume at 3:15 p.m.

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 2:24 p.m.)

Terry asked Hearn if it was accurate to say that he was misleading Limon and her family about his faith. He acted as if he were “shocked and dismayed” when the death of Robert came to light.

He is asked if he misled his sister into believing he was shocked. He answers that at the time he was feeling a lot of emotions so his reaction is genuine, but he lied about not knowing about Robert’s death.

Limon and Hearn once spoke about their life and how they planned on raising their children. He admits he didn’t spend much time with the kids until after Robert’s death, a three-month period of time Hearn said.

Terry asked Hearn if he was trying to step in and be the father figure- Hearn said no.

2:13 p.m.: Hearn comes off the stand and Sgt. Rutledge is called to the stand. He previously testified that he was involved in the interviewing of Limon in 2014.

The first 30 seconds of an audio is played and Sgt. Rutledge confirms it is audio from that interview. The audio and its transcript are brought to the jury for evidence.

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 1:53 p.m.)

Hearn defines “master mind” as “the combination of” him and Limon. She would share both Robert’s schedule and her own to make things work with Hearn.

Hearn admits to writing one letter he is questioned about after he asked her to lie to law enforcement. He admits that his opinion of Robert was a “negative one” informed by Limon.

Limon made it clear to Hearn that she wanted Robert dead, not just out of the picture, according to Hearn.

Hearn admits that the letter was designed to skew attention away from them, again. • Hearn reads a number of text messages from Limon pertaining to her love for him. One of them read “…I’M READY FOR US. I need you Jonathan!!!”

“What are your plans?” she asked him on Nov. 1, 2014 via text message. She proceeds to tell him her plans for the day and asks him “how is the love of my life this morning?”

“You really are such an amazing man of many god giving gifts and talents…” Limon texted Hearn thanking him for loving her.

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 12:03 p.m.)

Hearn is asked how he felt when he found out Limon had begun seeing an ex while he was in jail and he said he wasn’t upset.

Terry asked Hearn about the commandments he broke and Hearn said he probably broke all 10.

Hearn said he was “blinded” at the time.

12:02 p.m.: Court goes on lunch break.

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 11:32 a.m.)

Hearn is questioned about a letter he wrote for Limon after he killed Robert. He said he wrote it to not give the idea that they killed her husband.

10:57 a.m.: trial resumes from a short recess. A backpack from evidence is pulled from a paper bag. It was the backpack Hearn wore when he killed Robert.

Hearn tells defense he was not obsessed with Limon.

He is questioned about whether he thought she was a good mother or not during their relationship, again.

Hearn admits that “someone” overcame his better judgment. Terry asked him if “Sabrina Limon was the one who controlled” him. Hearn said that “on one level, certainly.”

The defense asks how Limon got him to “overcome” his freewill and murder her husband. Hearn answers that there is no logical answer. Terry asks again what she specifically did to convince him to do that.

Hearn said that he came to the conclusion that he would do anything that was “best for her.”

Terry asked Hearn if he continued to love her while he was in custody. He said that he doesn’t love her in a romantic manner but still loves her.

UPDATE (SEPT 25 10:10 a.m.)

Richard Terry reads a few words from a phone conversation transcript and asks Hearn if he was attempting to tell Limon what to say to Det. Meyer. He responds that he was because she asks him how she should deal with it.

Defense asks Hearn how emotional he is due to the fact that he showed very little when describing how he murdered Robert. Hearn said due to his training and line of work he was able to describe things the way he did.

Hearn admits he dated many women when asked about his friends describing him as a ladies man.

10:09 a.m.: Court goes to 15 minute recess.

==============================

UPDATE (SEPT. 25 9:29 a.m.)

Jonathan Hearn’s Richard Terry continues.

Hearn “had the thought” that his phones were wire tapped. Richard Terry asks him if during the course of their conversations he and Limon discussed the investigation.

He admits that they did. Hearn said Limon was curious about what detective Meyer would say to her, so she would ask Hearn about what some of the things he said to her meant based on Hearn’s previous training.

Hearn said he offered her “suggestions” about how to deal and speak with Det. Meyer, the same way she “offered him suggestions” to disguise his motorcycle and his face when he went to kill her husband.
