While we may be experiencing slightly cooler temperatures, we can still expect another hot week ahead for Kern County! Temperatures will drop just below triple digits for a majority of the week, before climbing back up by Saturday.
The valley areas of Kern County have an air quality alert in effect until 10 a.m Monday. We will experience lingering hazy skies due to the Mineral Fire up in Fresno County. However, air quality is expected to get slighty better on Monday, with an AQI of 100.
Winds will start to pick up in the desert areas over the course of the next couple of days. We will also see gusts over in Taft.
