ORIGINAL:
At the Kern County Superior Court Moris Gilmente, 39-years-old, was arraigned for double murder and felony evading charges. He did not enter into a plea, and Gilmente's public defender requested for a one-week continuance which was granted but the judge denied bail.

Gilmente is the alleged suspect in the double murder of 34-year-old Louise and 20-year-old Carlos Abraham that occurred this past Monday. He has been charged with double murder and felony evading.

Officials believe Gilmente fatally shot Louise Abraham, the mother of his three children, and her brother 20-year-old Carlos Abraham, in the parking lot of the Santa Fe Apartments on Union. The three children were found at the scene but not injured. Alleged accounts claim the shooting stemmed from a domestic violence call.

The next trial date for Gilmente is set for October 2nd.
