BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On November 24, a 44-year-old man was driving on US 395 was struck and killed by a hit and run driver on Bowman Road, east of Brown Road.

According CHP, a Ridgecrest man, Sean Chromi died and Brian Berry, 47, of Inyokern was severely injured.

According to CHP, after an extensive investigation which included speaking to involved parties, examining trace and blood evidence and obtaining warrants related to a suspect, the suspect was identified as Morgyn Kursten Dobson.

Dobson pled to several charges on January 31 and on February 25 will be sentenced to 7 years in prison according to CHP-Mojave.
