A man arrested in January in connection with an East Bakersfield kidnapping and assault case pled no contest to one of several charges Friday.
Lanny Eugene Ham pled no contest to threatening with the intent to terrorize.
The charges of torture and assault with a firearm on a person were dropped.
He will appear in court for a jury trial December 12.
