BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The United Way of Kern County's education programs raised over $63,000 during its annual A Chocolate Affair Event.
Since 2015, United Way has raised more than $300,000 to help keep literacy programs running and create new ones.
The nonprofit says it is always in need of donations and volunteers. Those who are interested in helping the nonprofit out should visit its website.
