U.S. oil prices rise to $43.49 a barrel, up more than four percent

Posted

The price of a barrel of crude oil went up more than four percent Thursday.

Prices settled at $43.49 a barrel, up $1.78 from the previous day.

This comes at a time where the oil industry has been trying to figure out how to stabilize prices.

Things have gotten so bad that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has called for an unscheduled meeting next month to talk about options.

U.S. gas prices continue to fall. Estimates expect the gallon price to drop below $2 this fall.
