Bakersfield College is warning students about reported vehicle break-ins located in one of its parking lots.

The Public Safety Department said Monday there were three reported break-ins located in the solar parking lot off Mt. Vernon Avenue and Panorama Drive.

Officials said valuables were left in plain sight inside the vehicles.

The college asked students to not leave anything of value inside their vehicles.

This incident comes after several reported crimes on and around the main campus in the last several months, including an attempted rape inside the Humanities bathroom two weeks ago.

The college reminded students, while walking back and forth from the parking lots, if a student sees someone who looks suspicious or if they feel a suspect is looking into vehicle windows, call Public Safety at 395-4554.
