BAKESFIELD, Calif. — The Valley Plaza Mall has announced that it will change its operating hours starting Monday, as a coronavirus precaution.

According to the mall's website, the shopping center will operate between noon and 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the mall will close at 6 p.m.

The mall also announced that they have "decided to postpone the opening of the Easter bunny experience. Should the situation change, it may open closer to Easter."

If the event is canceled, then refunds will be issued, according to the website.

Businesses inside the mall may implement their own operating hours, including temporary closures the website states.

The mall did not state how long these changes will remain in place.

Staff at the mall will also implement recommendations by the Centers for Disease and Control, which include various cleaning practices and placing hand sanitizers throughout the shopping center.
