The Clay County, FL Sheriff's Office and fire rescue team answered an unusual rescue call to save a bald eagle from a car grill.

According to the sheriff office's Facebook post on Oct. 8, which has more than 10,000 likes and shares already, a motorist called in reporting the eagle had flown in front of his car and somehow got trapped inside the grill. 

Photos posted on the Facebook page show the eagle wedged into the tight space, but looking otherwise in good condition. Police officers and fire fighters are shown working carefully to remove the bird from its predicament.

Emergency responders saved the bird and handed it over to the B.E.A.K.S. Wildlife sanctuary for examination and follow up care.
