Beginning in October 2020, California residents will need to present a Real ID or other approved documentation in order to fly on any domestic flights.
The Automible Club of Southern California has broken down the differences between the multiple approved documentation for domestic flights.
Before applying for one of these documentations, AAA is also reminding California residents of some important points:
- Make sure you bring the correct form of payment with you
- A Real ID is not required for children under 18
- A passport, passport card or California Identification Card is not a substitute for a driver’s license
The Stockdale Post Office will be holding a passport fair two Sunday's this month where people will be able to have their passport photo taken for $15.
