Rose Bowl game relocated to Texas

Officials with the Tournament of Roses announced on Saturday that the upcoming semifinal football game will not be taking place at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena on January 1st. Instead the game will kick off the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The announcement cites the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in southern California as the reason for the venue change, as well as the state's ban on fans attending games.

Over the last few weeks the Pasadena Tournament of Roses made two requests to the state of California for a special exception - both were denied.
